Hello friends & strangers,
The next GardenSlug meeting is Nov 11 near Philadelphia. Cletus has found space
at his church and we shall see how big the train track becomes this time. Bring
your creations to display!
As usual, ending time is not definite but it starts at 11 am Saturday. Some of
us will be there from early til dinner. We are expecting others to come over
after going to their jobs. Arriving in the afternoon is definitely ok. I think
we have to close up before 6 but I'm not sure exactly when.

Here are the directions for getting there (which had been posted to our mailing
list some while ago.)
Cletus Romano writes:
DATE: Saturday, November 11th.
PLACE: Trinity Episcopal Church - Bethlehem Pike and Highland Ave, Ambler, PA
Time: 11:00 to ????
Directions: Get your self to exit 25 of the PA Turnpike (I-276) by any means
possible. From the
Jersey Turnpike it's exit 6. Chris will probably want to take I-95 and US1
south. There are two way
to get to the church from the Turnpike.
Simple way: Stay to the right when leaving the toll booth. Take
PA309 north about 3/4 mile to the Highland Ave exit. At the bottom of the exit
make a left turn.
Go straight to the first traffic light. (Bethlehem Pike.) Go straight at the
light, the entrance to the parking
lot is on the right. NOTE: There is no merge area onto 309 and sight is
limited.
Safest way (recommended) Go straight out the toll booth and onto Pennsylvania
Ave. Stay in the right lane. At the 3rd light (just over the hill from
Friendly's) make a right onto Bethlehem pike. At the next light (about a mile
and a half) make a left on to Highland Ave. The church entrance is on the
right.
For those wishing to take public transportation I can pick you up at the Ambler
or Ft. Washington stations. SEPTA R-5 runs hourly on Saturdays. Please make
arrangements with me in advance. I will post a map if anybody feels this is
nesesary.
