Gents, ya, um, could you please help me in working towards some of the greater
goals discussed at Brick Fest 04. I need your help. I want to fill a gap in our
system here. If you look at this newsgroups' side bar, it has no information on
how to get to GardenSLUG, what GardenSLUG is and how to get involved.
As dicussed during Brick Fest at a Session designed to address these kinds of
issues. I think it would be assumable that if a person in the area of say
"Joisey", want to look up some information on who is around and what is going
on, they *may stumble into the lugnet.local.state-xyz.city-xyz, but seldom do
links between the Local state newsgroups and the State's Local Lego User Groups
exist.
That is to say, as curator of GardenSLUG, I can link to the State Local and City
level newsgroups, but currently there are no links between these State City
newsgroups back to GardenSLUG. Frankly how are newbies supposed to guess at a
name like GardenSLUG? Seems logical to look at the state and city level first to
see who is around when doing research on other AFoLs.
We need to begin a network between the major City Newsgroups and the New Jersey
Lego User Club; GardenSLUG. I suggest other members of the community within the
states and cities around the world to look for any missing links between these
newsgroups.
May I curate these links into effect on the State level including the city
extension newsgroups; Newark, Atlantic City and Trenton please. Thank you.
