One of the few used toys stores in Raleigh is closing. The House of Toys
just off Glenwood Avenue near Tuesday Morning (in the general vicinity of
the Raleigh Zany-Brainy) is closing. Right now everything is half off. I
picked up the only two LEGO sets I could find in the place, a 6407 for a $1
and a 6431 for $2. Both were new, why they had them at a used toy store I
don't know. Neither of these is a great find although 6431 is one of the
few sets on the market right now with real doors. At one time they had a
6264 Forbidden Cove (Pirates) but wanted $25 for it. Each time I went back
there it was still on the shelf, but not today. I hope who ever got it, got
it at 50% off. The people that worked there the few times I was in there
had a pretty poor customer interface so I am not surprised that they are
closing.
