What is that radio tower made out of?

The idea for the tower comes from one made by Kevin Loch? I saw it at
BrickFest last year on the WAMALUG layout.

I got the red technic axles from 1351 Movie Backdrop Studio and the white
axles from 3591 Heli-transport (Znap). It uses a micromotor and a polarity
switch and the base to make the lights flash.

And while I'm giving credit where it is due, the show's 'jewel train' was
inspired by Reinhard 'Ben' Beneke's hoppers and the VW Bugs were inspired
from the ones by Uli Meyer.
