Well, depends on what you mean by official. TLC doesn't recognize clubs so
far, so we won't be that official. Mike has put out a bunch of money to get
the web presence going, so we're going to need to be at least semi-organized
so as to not leave Mike holding the whole bag.
What we really need is to get off our duff and start getting together. I've
individually met everyone in the greater triangle area except Richard, and
I've tried a couple times to have gatherings at my place (which due to LEGO
quantities is probably impractical now), and did manage to get two people in
one evening (but Mike came over after James left). Unfortunately, one of our
fans, Chris Giddens will be leaving for Georgia soon (I need to get up to
his place soon and get some more pictures of his big space ship, especially
to preserve it in case it doesn't survive the move).
James did make an attempt to get us display space at a train show, but we
were too late (we need to start that process soon so we can get into a show,
we also need to make contact with the local MRR club).
We also need to get the people outside the triangle at least marginally
hooked up with us.
One thing which might be good to start putting on the web site is a list of
members with links to their home pages, and perhaps a little bit of info
(perhaps their roll call info).
