A  Food Lion in Greensboro has gotten in a new supply of small sets. • For
$2.99 -Moon Buggy 1265, Technic1268, White Ninja 1269, and Jungle • Surprise
1271.  There are about 9 of each of these.  For $1.99- 3019(1), • 5902(4),
and
6498(?).  Does anyone want me to pick up some of these for them for • delivery
at Cary's Wed. pm?  I know Mike is is LA now , so does anyone know • if he
might be interested in any of these?  Do you think Martin might want • any?
Let me know by Wed before noon.

Buy all the 1269 and 1271 and the 3019. If people don't want them, • I'll
take them (I'll take at least a few of the first 2). Mike has been
selling some of the 3017 and 3019 on eBay to good effect. I think both
1269 and 1271 would do well also. It's also almost worth having a • couple
of these for trading with Europeans for promo sets (there are a few
people who like to collect every set number, and while many of these • are
Kabaya sets, they are often a different set number).

Looks like I need to stop by the Foodlion on Western Blvd which is the
only one in the triangle which I have seen carry these sets. For those
who might travel a bit, the Foodlion in Roxboro has almost always had
the promos (Chris Giddens used to point these out). There is a • Foodlion
somewheres on NC 86 between Hillsboro and Danville VA which I also • found
the sets at.

Turns out there were 11 Jungle Surprise  and 11 white Ninja along with • the 1
3019.   I can still get the other  sets if anyone desires them.   I have • the
receipt so I can return any excess with no problem.

Great!

People may either reimburse me for the cost or trade me for the sets.
Always looking for Fabuland and Fabuland derived elements from Belville
(stairs, slide , skate board, large chest w/top, ladel, jug, large • yellow
turnwheel from 5870, T-handle shovel...).  Other Belville items that I • would
like to trade for include cypress, umbrella, apples, carrots,  basket, • ice
cream,  bowl, side handle mug,  thick base plates, bucket, star fish, • swing,
cat, plate...  Other stuff like flat plates in yellow, white, red , & • blue
4x4, 2x8,4x6, 4x8 and larger.  I like the plastic Lego flag,  bendy arm
people parts, vegetation-trees/plants,  classic smiley face heads, and • fat
freestyle flower in primary colors.    My most desired item right now • would
be the blue bin for the tipper truck in set  580.

I'll be bringing my Belville parts box. I'll look into my supply of some
of the other stuff. I may bring along that blue bin for 580 (I got one
in a parts lot, I didn't realize though that it doesn't have special
pieces that it hooks into, but I don't really see that much that I can
do with just one, if I had a bunch of those bins, I'd make a little mine
train, or come up with some other use, but if you've got a specific use,
then that sounds worthwhile to satisfy).

Thanks!  I got a 580 Brickyard mixed in with a lot of other things at ebay.
It has one broken blue rail, a blue tipper bin missing the pin on one end
and the claw is missing.  Otherwise it is complete.  A friend is ging to
send me the claw and rail at a later time.  That just leaves the blue tipper
bin to have a complete functioning set.  I really like this grouping.  Clean
lines,  I think it represents some of the best of Lego.  At the risk of
doing myself  out of the bin,  I would like to point out that in the 580
truck,  the bin does not hook into anything special.  Rather the pins on
either end rest between 2 studs.

I bring the truck base and my broken bin.
