Greetings!
Lawrence Technological University is pleased to announce its first Lego
Robotics Festival for students on April 15, 2000.
The LTU RoboFest 2000 has unique features. The game rules are simple,
as is the construction of the playing fields. Though only Lego MindStorms
robots are to be used for games, any software environments / programming
languages may be used. Details are as follows:
When: Saturday, April 15 from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Where: Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan, U.S.A.
Who can participate? Teams consist of 1 - 3 students.
Game Category:
- Robo Race
- Robo Fire-Fighter Race (requires extra parts)
- Robo Tag (requires extra parts)
Divisions: Junior (6 through 12 grade students) and Senior (college
students)
Registration Fee: None
Registration Period: >From Feb. 11th to March 4th.
Prizes:
Junior Division:
- within each game category: 1st place - $300, 2nd - $250, 3rd - $200
Savings Bond
- $1,000 scholarship to LTU for three best junior division teams
Senior Division: 1st place - $300, 2nd - $250, 3rd - $200 Savings Bond
Every official team member will receive a gift.
Savings bonds are sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan.
