As I am the first to post in the Evansville area, it seems appropriate that I
should welcome all Evansville Lego Enthusiasts. I am an Associate Professor at
Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana and am an avid Lego Robotics Enthusiast.
Although my primary responsibility at the college is to serve as the College
Instructional Technologist, my roots began in the classroom in Mechanical
Design Technology where I implemented the use of Lego Robotics into the Product
Design and Collaborative Team Skills courses.
While primarily designed for k-12, we have found that Legos bring enthusiasim
back into the classroom even for adult learners. I am developing a web page so
that we can share our research in this area. It should be available after
February 28th at http://faculty.ivy.tec.in.us/~scombs
I should also mention that I have spoken with many of my students and they
would like to form an Evansville user's group. If anyone is interested in
helping us start the ball rolling, please contact me.
Happy Legoing!

| I would love to take part in a lego users group in the Evansville area. When is the first meeting? I'll be there! Tom Heverly (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.us.in.eva)
