When I dropped by the Sunnyvale Toys-R-Us yesterday, I saw flyers advertising
the arrival of the 'Lego Soccer Truck' this Thursday (June 22) from 11am to 4pm.
Apparently this is a tractor-trailer (the real thing, not a model), coming by on
some sort of promotion of the 2000 Soccer line of sets. If I remember
correctly, each visitor gets a Lego Soccer brick and a gift certificate for $10
off the $50 soccer set.
The Lego shelves at this TRU look really sparse and picked-over, so it's my hope
that the truck will also bring the full line of mid-2000 sets to stock the
shelves with. I want a Millenium Falcon!
