Just got back from TRU...
I went to the one at Winchester at around 12:30am, the line extended to
the corner of the building, and a friend of mine was at the end of the
line, he said TRU at Sunnyvale was packed and had a lot more people,
that's why he came here instead.
Great. and they only let about 20 people in at a time, I was not about to
stand in line since they said it only moved about 2 times, and it's
probably not a good idea to go to Sunnyvale TRU since that's where all the
Lego people went :-)
Got to TRU at Capitol around 1:30am, stand at the end of the line, got in
around 2am, about the same time my friend at Winchester TRU got in.
It was a mess inside TRU, boxes everywhere, I guess 95% of the people were
going after the action figures, only saw about 3-4 7171, and a handful of
7151, (lots of light sabre duel, and lots of that brown robot set) after
looking around, and peeking into the storage room, I saw a cart load of
almost every Episode I set, in their original Lego cardboard boxes. with
the word "on shelf date no earlier than may 3, 1999".
When I left, nobody was in the line to get in anymore, and there are
plenty of the smaller sets and couple of big sets around... and an
unknown number of Lego boxes in the storage room.
Saw at least 5 people picking up a set and say, "this is pretty neat",
then put down the box after looking at the price tag.
what a day...
