Hey guys,
The Lego gods and goddesses ganged up to bless me today. While waiting for
some laminating to be done I chanced across the street to Play It Again Toys
on Solano Avenue in Albany. There, in a plastic bag, lay a time portal from
my childhood Lego years. A #487 Space Cruiser with the box (slightly
crushed) that appeared to be in excellent condition. The tag on the bag
said that some pieces might be missing but I grabbed it anyway.
Upon inspecting the contents I discovered that the only missing pieces were
one white Classic Space helmet and a 1x2 blue tile (easily replaced). All
the pieces look like they were manufactured yesterday and never seen the
sun. Even though the box is a bit beat up, the colors are still quite
bright and I think I can repair the damage. Getting the crushed side to
straighten out is another matter.
Oh, and it only cost $14.50 with tax.
