I posted here but I have found that posting to local groups sometimes works and
sometimes doesn't. (no nibbles so far on my post that I'm coming to Boise ID
next week...)
I'll also say that my visit to a locale (and the subsequent impromptu meeting)
has at least once, given some impetus to the formation of a local club. I love
to talk about the problems and challenges (and the fun) inherent in club
formation and growth. I'm sorry you guys didn't take me up on a get together. I
might be back though, and if so I'd still love to get together again, at a club
meeting or just informally.
Meanwhile, good luck forming a club, it's a really rewarding experience and
there are lots of people and resources out there to help you along if you want
the help.
