The BrickFest Schedule has been updated.*  The following are just some of the
presentations that will occur at this years Fest - July 19-21, just outside of
Washington, DC.  For more up-to-date info go to www.brickfest.com

Jeffrey Ardis - Spybotics demo, Q & A (Saturday, 1:00pm - 1:55pm) Have you
heard about Spybotics? You will get to preview this new product.

Jennifer Clark - Function and Form (Saturday, 2:00pm - 2:55pm) From Lego to
machine and back again - inspiration, tricks and traps. This presentation will
describe Jennifer Clark's adventures in building scale models of construction
machinery realistic in both appearance and function.

Tom Cook -Train Layout Operation and Design (Saturday, 2:00pm - 2:55pm). This
Roundtable discussion will focus on methods and theories of Train operations
and designing layouts to facilitate operations.

Tim Courtney - Introduction to 3D LEGO-Style Modeling with LDraw
Tools.(Saturday, 4:00pm - 4:55pm), Come and learn how to start designing your
own virtual LEGO models using the LDraw system of free CAD tools!

Steve Hassenplug - Programming Lego Mindstorms with LegOS (Friday, 2:00pm -
3:00pm) A discussion on installing and using the LegOS operating system to
write and download programs from a Windows PC to the Mindstorm RCX.

Doug James - Shootin Bricks/ Mystic Studios animation seminar (Friday, 3:00pm -
5:00pm) Don't just stand there! Animate something! Doug James and Jared Gilbert
will have a table set up on Friday and Saturday of the festival for your
animating pleasure. Bring your bricks and creations to J and D's table and they
will help you make short animations! The rest of the festival, look for them to
be 'guerrilla animating', roaming the fest and animating where the opportunity
presents itself!

Brad Justus - LEGO Direct Q & A (Saturday, 10:00am - 11:45pm)

Dario Laverde - Programming Lego Mindstorms with Java.(Saturday, 3:00pm -
3:55pm) Using the Java programming language, one can program and control the
Lego Mindstorms robots using a PC. Additionally one can write Java programs to
run inside the robot using leJOS (Lego Java Operating System) a firmware
replacement.

Jon Palmer - The Space Community (Saturday  2:00pm - 4:00pm) Come discuss the
future of the online Space community.

Todd Thuma - A how-to, step-by-step tutorial, on making animations. (Saturday
2:00pm - 4:00pm) Ever wondered what it takes to make an animated short? Well,
in this presentation/workshop you will have an opportunity to practice the art
of animation with software, computers and LEGO pieces provided. The goal for
the workshop is to divide up into teams, each with a scene to shoot. Then all
the teams' efforts will be brought together for the final movie. It should be a
lot of fun for everyone and a great way to get exposure to the trials,
tribulations, and techniques of animation.

Calum Tsang - Building Competition Robots (Friday, 4:00pm - 5:00pm) Join folks
from rtlToronto will conduct a seminar on building robots for
design competitions. We'll discuss building and software techniques, hints and
tips, and favorite mechanisms, as well as talk about design processes and
strategies.

And much much more! There will be a Master Builder from LEGO Shows & Events and
other great things to see and People to meet. There are several presentations
