I find that shopping in Edinburgh for Lego is a real drag.  At one time
Jenner's was a 'Lego Construction Centre' which meant that it stocked most
of the Lego range, now it stocks next to nothing...

True, it does have about 3 5571's though.. wonder if they'd accept an
offer? :)

Meanwhile, TrU at
Newcraighall is a disaster area.  Most of the sets have been battered,
bruised, dropped and as a result pieces could be missing (I always make sure
to find a box in good condition).

I've only been a few times, but I've didn't notice battered boxes - I
must have been lucky!

The best place is either Toys Galore

That was a nice shop.

in Morningside, or John Lewis'.

Just my little rant on Lego in Edinburgh

I know how you feel.. Glasgow used to be better too - Debenhams (?) used
to have quite a nice selection, as did Woolworths on Argyle Street and
the John Menzies where the (can't remember the name - big pointy glass
roofed shopping center), meets Argyle. On the plus side Toy Stack in the
same shopping center has a decent selection, as does Beaties just a
minutes walk away from there. As far as I know, Beaties has the best
selection in Glasgow, but as I haven't lived there for a year, I may be
incorrect!

Oh, actually one of the TRU's in Glasgow probably has the best
selection, but peversly I think I still prefer Beaties :)

I wonder when TRU will decide to try and clear their big pirate ships
for *less* than 50 quid?

Richard
