Mind the gap! London Underground Standard tube stock

With my designing of the W+C 1940 stock (SR class 487) model recently I overcame
some design obstacles that had set me against continuing the design process for
the standard stock, having started it by throwing together a quick demonstrator
from elements of my 1938 stock design late last year.
I have used what I believe to be the earliest livery, from the 1923 stock,
though I have limited its application around the front of the driving-motor
cars. (The Standard stock as it was called, comprised of the tube stocks from
1922 to 1934. They were designed to be fully cross-compatable and had similar
appearance: 1922prototype, 1923, 1924, 1925, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1931 and 1934
stocks.)
The motor and skirting were one of the most difficult bits, requiring the
removal of a lage chunk of the rear of the car, all the while maintaining
structural strength. The latter had to be achieved by building reinforcing
inside the body, making it impossible for minifigs to fit inside that section
It is my plan now to have both this and my 1938 stock design both built in time
for the Merrist Wood display in May.
