2 months to Scottish fest

It is 2 months to the Scottish Fest on Saturday 27th September,
Aberdour Boat Club, Shore Road, Aberdour, Fife.
Aberdour is just over the Forth bridge from Edinburgh.
Ian Bishop has offered to bring people from Glasgow.
Scott Arthur has offered to pick anyone from the Edinburgh Airport.
By car it is on the A921.
Full instructions on how to get there will be given later.
The village has a station on the Fife Circle/Edinburgh-Dundee line
A list of B&B's can be provided - it is a seaside village so bring
the family and have a weekend holiday.
The boat club can hold 20-30 people, it has a small kitchen and
toilets.
It will start at 10.00am and finish at 6.00pm.
Lunch and tea will be provided (sandwiches, pizza, fruit?).
There will be a charge of about £5 to cover the cost of the room,
and lunch & tea.
There will be Lego to buy, sell and swap.
A "show and tell" - bring along your favourite set, or MOC and talk
about it for a few minutes.
There will be two competitions.
1. As it is the 25th anniversary of the minifig, bring along one you have built
10 cm high.
2. You had to bring an unpowered Lego vehicle that will go down a ramp, the
greatest distance wins.
The floor has carpet tiles, the ramp could be an up-side-down 48x48 base, it
will not be too high as the room is not to big.
The maximum size of vehicle will be 12cm long, 6 cm wide and 6cm high as people
my be bringing them on the train.
The idea of the competitions is to have FUN.
The prize may be a mini-ti-fighter, or is that the booby price?

| Hmmm ..are non-UK lego folks welcome at Scotish legofests ! never been to a legofest and never been to Scotland .. I wonder if I can find any cheap Ryanair flights (from Dublin). :) Yvonne D. (21 years ago, 2-Aug-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)
