I went in the local Entertainer store in Camberley yesterday and there was
not one, yes not one single discounted Lego set.

Just current catalog stuff.
No discontinued sets
No special offers
Nothing.

Their shelf space for Lego decreases each year

There's almost nothing on their web site either.
I wonder if they feel it's not worth it in the face of shop@home?

Conclusions
1. the amount of lego on store shelves continues to decrease
2. meaning it will be bought for fewer and fewer kids - no complsive
purchases, or grannies buying Lego as a present because they know the brand
3. no one will bother competing on-line with shop@home
4. the amount of 'exclusive to shop@home' continues to increase
5. meaning that unless you are on-line - which most folks still are not - or
happen to know their is a phone service - how would you find out if you
don't/can't buy lego in the store? - people buy less and less lego.

Result? Lego atrophies into dust as people forget what it is.

Sorry for the negativity
