Chris already knows this (I got ahold of him) but for the rest of you:
thanks for the concern. I'm fine, my family is safe. The reason we didn't
answer the phone is simply - we weren't home. I was in Haifa taking a uni.
entrance test, and heard about the going-ons only after I left. (I suppose
that's a good thing, otherwise I would've had no chance of passing... not
that it matters so much now..) Once I heard I went to my mom's office, tried
to contact her but the calls were not getting through to the U.S. I emailed
Chris and my family a very rushed, worried letter, then headed home. I had a
very frightened hour and a half while riding the cab, not because the driver
or anything, but because I knew my sister was in NYC and my aunt's family
supposedly on their way to CA. Shortly after I got home my mother managed to
call with news that EVERYONE in my family is safe (from all corners of the
U.S.). After that things were just blurry. I'm still in a daze and stuck to
the TV most of the time.

| Hi to everyone who frequents here: I've been trying to reach Shiri for the past while, and can't get ahold of her (phone lines from the US to Israel are disconnected).
