Hiya,

I expect there are more serious collectors, and guys like me out there, who
just dont know of lugnet.

I like the star Wars stuff, but not the episode one, jar jar stinks etc.
that movie was such a let down.

I hope to do a diorama using old space baseplates and star wars ships.(one day!)

I am unsure of how many sets i have, I partially have
train set 7735, 4439, 4443, and 4558, but need to sort out power, basically
I got those and feet of track gratis from a freind in the model trade, but
as with something like that its not complete, i improvised where needed, but
I am now waiting on some pieces(motors leads etc)

I am going to try to adapt 7735 to work on a 9volt motor, the engine looks neat.

As for my town and space  stuff, i have a good bit, police station, cars
trucks, mad blue space vehicles amd a space centre, all early eighties stuff

I started off with the likes of 615 and 619 (77 ish) and still have the non
movable mini figs, which came out at the time then i got some basic sets,
and then around 1982 i got stuff like 6681 6651 6647 then around 1984 it was
the likes of 6384 the police station my favotite town set, 6374 and 6606.

At the same time my brother got space, 6671 was his coolest set, but for him
it was more of a phase where i just was into lego for years, and i
inhertited it at the time.

My last and biggest set was 6392 the airport in 1985, and that was it, I was
11 and my mind was straying from toys to other things.

I think i kept the instructions from about 83 up, but they are well used and
torn and the few boxes i kept are flat, no idea what possesed me to keep them.

I couldnt not get the X-wing, Y wing  and other star wars stuff when it came
out, as you can imagine for me it was really cool, but i never had star wars
toys as a kid, i just loved the movies and at times attempted to build a
multi coloured lego falcon, as you do.

I have a good bit of SW to collect yet. havent gotten the falocn, but I will
eventually, wish they'd do an AT AT.

I never got the trains when i was younger, reckon i was always pointed in
the direction of something cheaper, like that suitcase is years of christmas
presensts and birthday presents, nearly 10 in total.

I would ask for lego, a comic and some toy soliders instead of an easter egg
at easter -weird or what!!!

I think i have spent more on lego in the last couple of years than ever. ;-)

anyhow enough rambling

where is the best place to buy train lego?
I tried smiths and banba in jervis st and the selectin is not great.

good to hear from you, what train set do you have, and of course if any of
you need a piece just shout it,

take care

Hi Ronan, Kieran and Yvonne,

My name is James and I am from dublin.

I had space and town lego during the early eighties.

I bought a good few of the Star Wars sets in the last while.

I recently was 'given' a box of train lego and this really got me
going again.

so I thought I should register and say hello,

Yours

james
