Hello all LEGO train fans!

My most recent model is an underground station from the new Copenhagen
MiniMetro opened October 2002.

The station is primarily based on the station Lergravsparken but includes
elements from the other stations on the line as well as my own ideas.

My favourite part is the skylight, the bicycle stand and the telephone box:

I just love those grey windows from the airport 6597!

The Metro Train is modelled as accurate as possible. It has electric front
and rear lights, the wires are well hidden underneath the wagons:

Also remember to take a look at some of the pictures of the real Copenhagen
Metro. It is indeed a nice subway and I think my models are quite close:

So, what do you think? I'd love to hear you comments!

Esben

Gorgeous! My favorite little details are the phone booth and the escalator. Bruce (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Esben, Very nice interpretation. I really like your favorite picture as well. I love all the tiny little details in the minifigures and what they're doing above the platform. Excellent work, always nice to see a new station. -Kevin (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Absolutely incredible! Packed full of features and minute details. I love the adverts and the automatic ticket machines. Far more than I do in real life, in fact! Brilliant mate. -Matthew Wightwick. (22 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) That looks great. However, I have to say, ooh nice train. You went to great lengths to get windows the shape that you wanted. Chris (22 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Very nicely done. The skylight is great. I will have to borrow that for my next town creation. The advertisments are neat too. The details everywhere are very nice. Is this to be part of a larger layout or creation? I am sure this would go (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) This is very cool. Subway stations are such interesting geometric spaces that they beg to be done in LEGO. You made great use of pieces, and the activity really makes an intereting scene. Good job! Amy (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Great model, Esben. A pitty that you have to tear it down so quickly. Would you not like to build something and show it for real at the next European meeting of LEGO fans? See how much fun we had: (URL) friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen. (22 years ago, 16-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Nice. Earlier this month I was on my first trip with the metro. You have caught the general look of the stations very well. The only thing I miss is the glass wall between the platform and the tracks (its only there on one side in your model). (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)
