Hi Larry!
I live in downtown Frankfurt and I'd be glad to show you around. It's a
relatively small city yet there are a few sights you should definitely visit.
In response to the other posts, the Hauptbahnhof (main station) is interesting
and quite large and also a hang out for the local drunk community (you'll see).
I've been to the Main bank flea market several times, yet I've never seen any
Lego sold. Maybe I was just unlucky, but there are other local flea markets
which might be more offering more.

OK, if there's anyone else to be found. One of the guys on lugnet.local.de
lives in the area as well, I think; I don't know anyone else personally though.

What can you get that's not available over here? McD's? Amazon Adventurers?

Yes they are open - don't expect miracles though. I have been scouting out
every toy shop/department store in metro Frankfurt since September but the most
"exciting" things I've found is some train sets that went out with the 1999
catalogue. There is a fair selection of discounted and/or discountinued sets
available though.

I do know the stores and I can show you (and I do not have a car, so we could
check some stores I can't reach by train (S-Bahn)).
Best regards,
Torsten
