Hi, Anybody find any good Christmas deals around Ottawa yet? Most places I've been to have been cleaned out. Only thing I've seen is the big construction set at Zellers for $45 or so, but still didn't pick one up. How about you guys? The only thing I found that might be worthwhile is 6600 Highway Construction for $45. They must have had about 20 of them. But it is still a bit too much for the roadplates and bridge that might be of interest. Does anybody else think this is a good (...) (23 years ago, 24-Dec-01, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

Hi, I can confirm that TRU in St. Laurent also has the new sets. I picked up Harry Potter Flying Lesson, 2 figs and stuff for under $5. Not too bad. FYI, Zellers has 3 different 'special' sets on major sale. First is the Tie/Y-Wing and Snowspeeder together for $25. Second is the Sith Infiltrator and Anakin's Pod together for $16. Sadly, I wnt to "the Zellers Time Forgot" today, and it looks like time caught up with it. Their Lego section was only half an aisle, as opposed to the whole aisle that had to have all the sets stacked sideways to have room for them all. I hate to (...) My sister goes to York, and close to her residence (Calumet) there is a ghetto mall that has a Zellers with some fairly old Town/Train/Technic sets (mid 90's).
