Greetings all,
NovaLUG will participating in the Kings county Hobby Show at County Fair
Mall in New Minas, Nova Scotia, tomorrow, March 20th. The show is from
9 am until 3 pm, free admission. New Minas is near the start of the
Annapolis Valley, just before you get to Kentville. It is the mall with
a Zellers and Sears in it. Other train groups are also displaying, and
the show is organized by the local RC plane group.
Because of the limited setup time (only 1 1/2 hours) we are going with a
smaller layout, about 24 feet by 4 feet. Highlights include a
(hopefully) working automated level crossing and a trolley that travels
up and down main street (modelled on the birneys that ran in Halifax
until 1949).
