  Model train show

We were in the Calgary super model train show today and was glad to see two families put up lego trains in the show. In fact, one family ,Shawn Nilles(?) won the runner up display for the train show.   Re: Model Train show

There was discussion between NALUG in Edmonton and the newly formed SALUG in Calgary, and it was decided that neither group was able to participate this year, unfortunately. Next year's show looks promising though. ~Adam (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.cal)

  Model Train show

Does anyone know whether any lego train will be in the train show on Feb 16 and 17 in Calgary Big Four building? We have not heard anything from anyone in Alberta discuss about it at all. We assume not? (24 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.cal)

  Science Center Displays

Hi All: In case you hadn't seen any of the ads, the Calgary Science Center has a Lego Underwater exhibit happening between January 19 and sometime in March. From the promo photos, there's a lot of Water-related builds. Just so you know! (24 years ago, 20-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.cal)

  More train work this week...

I cleaned off the kitchen table this week, in order to sort some LEGO bought over the past few months, and to *finally* build something! I worked on a couple new iterations of the multi-bed 'well-car' designs. I'd made a new page ((URL) to document (...)   Lego Whiz

(URL) scanned a newpaper article on an 11 year old from Calgary, Alberta who will be participating in a Lego building contest in Flordia, or already has, I'm not sure. Any ideas on other contestants in this contest? Any other contestants get local (...) (24 years ago, 15-Dec-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.cal, lugnet.people)

Re: Well, I can ask him, but I don't think he'll be very keen!

(...) There's at least some in lugnet.org.nalug. Occasionally. :-) (...) I can probably get shot by the other nalug-ers (see (URL) our little page), but you might also consider the Cyber K'nex stuff.   Re: Well, I can ask him, but I don't think he'll be very keen!

(...) Heh. Yeah, well us locals tend to do our yakking on the NALUG mailing list. As Steve (Chapple) reminds us, we should do more talking on Lugnet, just so folks know we exist. :) (...) That's easy to fix. :) (...) You should talk to John Koob or (...) (24 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.edm)
