Hi guys,

Sorry to fall off of the face of the earth. I know it has been about a month
since I have posted anything, but I got side tracked.

Firstly, my fingers are fine, they were sore for a few days but after that
they were ok. I am glad that Kevin does not invest as much money in his car
as his LEGO ;-)

Happy to know that.

I am glad they were not too sore because I needed them to empty everything
out of half of my apartment. You see I was off of work for a few days to go
to the MonLUG meeting and to take a break. So after the meeting I built my
60+ brick high tower and layed out my train on my living room floor. I must
admit, I really liked how I had my train going around my furniture almost as
if it was a landscape. Then while watching M*A*S*H I heard a hissing and
then saw steam coming from my step to my balcony. To make a long story
short, most of my living room was under water by over ½" in a few minute and
the water kept pouring in. My train was almost floating :-). The cause was a
hole under my step to outside that froze my radiator pipe (this was there
since before I moved into that apartment).

gee, that's not the easyest way to clean up your lego :-(

So for about 3 weeks I did not have my livingroom (which now has a
refinished floor) My computer (it stayed dry) had no place to be setup
because all my furniture, and LEGO was piled through out the rest of my
apartment. During that time I had about half my kitchen, my washroom, my
bed, and a hallway available to me (bachelor apartments are bigger :-). Then
I have had to go through the task of setting everything back up. At this
point, I am still waiting on my insurance to be able to replace my train,
track and some other damaged items. Also I have had a problem with my PC due
to a faulty cable which I replaced yesterday and am now online again. I have
been able to keep up reading MonLUG on LUGNET at work from time to time but
have not had the time to be able to reply. Well gotta go for now and sort
through my SPAM... or is that email? :-)

were your track melted by hot water?

Jude

PS thanks for your concern.

hopefully, your still alive and uninjured (well your finger have healed).

Martin
