Zellers sale this week starts on Friday September 1st (because of Labour
day) and runs until Friday September 8th. The flyer shows a large sale on
discontinued merchandise. It lists "up to 50% off Huge Selection of Brand
Name Toys (all ages)". "Savings are applicable to clearance and
discontinued merchandise only. Selection may vary by store. Sorry no
rain checks."
My local Zellers didn't have much on clearance the last time I checked,
but you never know. At one time Zellers had a sale like this and screwed
up and all LEGO scanned at 50% off, so it might be worth checking.
Additionally, Tuesday September 5th is a seniors day, where "those 55 and
better dave an extra 10%" including on any sale LEGO.

| (...) I checked two around Toronto but to no avail. In one, there were some savings, but mostly on some really weird stuff, like a NBA Lego watch and the Doc Ock Hideout ($52 versus $59). This was set up with other unusual toys. They put together a (...) (18 years ago, 4-Sep-06, to lugnet.loc.ca)
