  Winterlude Photos

It has been too long past, and I haven't renamed all the photos, so I just went ahead and did the batch resize in order to get these posted. So, finally, without further ado, here are my photo's from ParLUGment's display on the Rideau Canal in (...)   Re: Spectrum Catalogue Outlet store

(...) We drove up there last weekend...not a lot to report on. I think they have a few Mindstorms boxes and some Dacta classroom kits, but no bulk parks etc. They were willing to pull stuff out of their warehouse, but the particularly interesting (...)   Nova Scotian "blockheads" profiled in Sunday Daily News

Greetings, The Sunday Daily News (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) has an article on the local AFOLs. Unfortunately it does not appear to be on the paper's online site ( (URL) ). If you are in the Halifax area I recommend picking up a copy. The cover (...) (20 years ago, 20-Feb-05, to lugnet.loc.ca.ns.hal, lugnet.org.ca.novalug, lugnet.loc.ca.ns, lugnet.mediawatch)

Greetings, I just got word from the reporter that the article on adult LEGO fans in the area should be in the Sunday Daily News this week (Feb 20th, 2005). This is the newer of two daily newspapers in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Gail Meagher (20 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.novalug, lugnet.loc.ca.ns.hal, lugnet.loc.ca.ns)

Re: Costco and HarryPotter motorized train

(...) To be more specific, the main set's track is the new dark grey, and the extra box is the old dark grey. I can imagine the confused calls to customer service now... *sigh* -Bryan (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Costco and HarryPotter motorized train

Likewise around Mississauga area, they hit 70 a week before Christmas and GONE! Even at 100 that's a steal BUT BE WARNED, the track in the main set, is one colour grey, and the add-on boxes are another!! Silly packaging. (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Costco and HarryPotter motorized train

(...) The Costco in our area (Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam) had them for $99 but then they marked them down further to $69.99! After that, they got sold out very quickly. :( -Bryan (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Costco and HarryPotter motorized train

Before Christmas, Costco had some Motorized Hogwarts Express train kit (train plus some straight and curved tracks) at about 170$ and a 40$ discount coupon. Then, they reduced the price to 99$. It is still at that price as we speak. Here in Quebec (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Spectrum Catalogue Outlet store

(...) No, but we'll probably take a drive over there to check it out. We drove to the Whitby store a few months ago and it had a really impressive selection of sets. The only problem is that it's a little far--otherwise, I'd find myself much more (...) (20 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Spectrum Catalogue Outlet store
