Doom and gloom! Doom and gloom!

I visited to TRU Chatswood. The LEGO space is shrinking! It seems to have
lost about 2 metres worth... No more Dino Islands... no more Red Beard
Runners...

Someone even seems to be buying Jack Stone, and there's only a handful of
Creator Sets left. Most of the HP sets were there (the castle was a notable
absentee), but even Bionicle seemed to be in decline.

The new Racer sets all seemed to be there (though I'm no expert), but the
only real winner seemed to be Duplo.

If you were after 'just bricks' then only the Creator normal and clear brick
set was available.

Hmmm.... and there was some technic stuff there, but the details elude me.

Doom and gloom! Should I start prophesying the end of the LEGO company?
Should I blame it all on juniorisation? Should I be worried about the jack
booted thugs coming to steal my child? (Or even worse, should I contemplate
buying Megablox?)

Or should I see it as a positive: that people have clearly been buying all
the LEGO that was there, and should I just think it's not going to be long
before the Ep II sets start hitting the shelves, TRU brings in some
previously discontinued sets (like they did the Red Beard Runner), and some
sets that they apparently had sitting in a warehouse somewhere and decide to
sell at 50% off (like they did for King Leos Castle)?

Cheers
