How would I go about getting a 9v train motor without needing to get an
entire (really expensive) train set? Is there a way to get one
individually? Does anyone have a spare one for sale cheap?

| (...) Um, just call Shop at Home, or order over the web, they're US 24.99... Way way easy... erm, never mind. :-) Mayhap someone from the US could mail you one? That's going to be a bit pricey since they do mass a bit. (23 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

| (...) Have you tried LA? They had them earlier this year amongst the leftover Service Packs 5300 Train Motor 9v $55.75 (incl postage). No guarantees that there are any left now, but the easiest place to try first. Deidre drb@tasmail.com (23 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.au)
