Name: Paul Baulch
Gender: M
Year of Birth: 1971
Mental Age/Status of Inner Child: Ranges between 9 and 14 depending on • mood.
Location: Melbourne
E-mail Address: paul@bigpond.net.au
LEGO/home page URL(s): http://www.geocities.com/doctorshnub
Marital Status: Lonely! :-(
Children: Looking forward to it, actually.
Occupation: Computer programmer
On Lugnet Since: First post 9 July 1999 to lugnet.loc.au.vic.mel (Nobody • was there!)
# of Sets in LEGO Collection: 568, according to my LUGNET set list.
# of Unopened Sets in Collection: A couple of dozen, but ONLY unopened for • lack of room!
# of LEGO Pieces: Just over 100,000 according to my LUGNET set list.
# of LEGO Theme Parks Visited: When they build one in Oz, maybe.
# of LEGO fests atteneded: 0 international, 2 interstate, ~6 local.
First LEGO Set: 382 Breakdown truck and car, or possibly 357 Fire station.
LEGO Dark Age: '90-'93 for Space, '90-'98 for other themes.
First Set after Dark Age: 6897 (Space Police) ended Space dark age. In '98
it was Explorien Starship, I think...

Favorite Theme(s): Well, Space, obviously.  I tend to like specific sets
more than their overall themes, though.

Favorite Set(s): 6285 "Black Seas Barracuda" a.k.a. "Dark Shark" and  5571
Black Cat Truck. I've also got a soft spot for 918, 6887 and 6897.

Favourite Own Creation: Tough call... at the moment, my space shuttle and
crawler/launch pad:

Favorite Piece(s)/Minifigure(s): Any slope, especially Wedge 4x4 Triple.
1x16 bricks. Ice Planet minifigs, especially the Babe.

Set/theme you would like to see:
I'd prefer that they put cool sets into the current themes, like put sci-fi
into Lego Studios with rampaging robots/alien invaders, and they've really
got to make a decent human colony base for Life On Mars. Preferably with
those funky dome pieces.
I'd also like to see a hybridisation of Model Team and Technic. The UCS
X-wing is kind of a step in that direction.

Current LEGO Project:  I have multiple projects in various stages of
construction:
A) Exploriens exploration frigate, Class 2
B) MSV-02 Space Supremacy Light fighter-carrier (possibly two), hopefully
operational in time to fend off the Welshishishish.
C) Nanofig-scale multi-role battlecruiser.

Greatest Claim to LEGO Fame: Well, it's not much, but still a nice thing
to happen:

Other (Non-LEGO) Interests: Computer games, sci-fi, anime

Ferreting through the histroy of loc.au I found a roll call stamped 17May2000. It's been a while, people have come and gone and the GST has made life just that little more interesting. Anyways I thought I'd resurrect the form and toss it out for (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-01, to lugnet.loc.au)
