An update, after visiting a store:
Assortment 1 now $3.39 save 30c
Assortment 2 now $4.49 save 39c
Assortment 3 now $7.00 save $1.87 (this is the one mentioned in the catalog)
Assortment 3 at my local store consisted of:
6519 Turbo tiger
6471 4WD Police Patrol
6425 TV News Chopper
6423 Tow Away Truck
6579 Ice surfer
xxxx Basic Set (can never remember that number, it's not an interesting set
anyway!)
Apparently the sale is just whatever the normal instore range is (which
varies over time anyway), there are no plans to bring in extra stock
specifically (eg the Dino Promos).

There were still some of these around Hobart selling for $2.00/$2.25 a week or so ago, presumably leftovers from before. (...) Woolworths have 3 Lego assortments based (...)
