| Heres an idea, if the "references" header is removed by the server, add it manually but call it something different (e.g. reference) and then have todd change lugnet to recognise this in incoming emails and change it to references before it stores (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

| (...) True, but you could put the header in the body of the message, as the first line. Then the mail server will ignore it, because it is part of the body. Then when the lugnet server sees that the correct "code" is the first thing in a message (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
