Brickvention - just a few weeks away!

Hi Everyone!
Brickvention 2009 (Melbourne) is just a few short weeks away and the committee
are really geared up to bring you a great weekend.
If you haven't signed up for the whole weekend, and you intend to do so, DO IT
NOW! This year, we're having our name badges made out of engraved bricks and we
need to finalise names as soon as possible. If you don't register in the next
few days, then there is a chance we won't be able to give you a special name
brick. The bricks are coming all the way from the US, so it takes a while for
them to get here. :)

For those still thinking about it, we've got some great activities happening on
the Saturday. There will be the regular Build-in-the-bag and Speed Build
competitions along with presentations on LEGO Digital Designer & LEGO Universe
and the LEGO Ambassador program. This year sees the introduction of the tricky
Dirty Buildster which is a close relative of the popular Dirty Brickster.
Details of the activities can be found on the website.
The Sunday will be the public open day along with a number of BrikWars
demonstration games.
If you are all signed up and ready to go, here are the items you might like to
bring:
1) your MOCs, sets or other items to display. Modular houses & Moonbase are
popular.
2) your BrikWars armies
3) A "set" for Dirty Brickster
4) a collection of bricks for Dirty Buildster
5) Cash to purchase items from the "dealers"
6) assorted bricks etc. to decorate your name badge (two 1x8 bricks)
If you can't make it for the whole weekend, we'd love to see you on the public
open day!
