My sincere apologies to Teunis for mispelling his surname, and my thanks to Ross (who is also a top Aussie) for spotting my error and pointing it out.

It’s doubly embarassing for me, because I managed to get it right once in my post.

Misspellings can indeed be embarrassing!

As for “doubly”, that is how I prefer all of my music.

I thought, being a seppo, you’d spell it “dobly” ;)

<looks up “seppo”> Ahh, well, then now, I don’t quite get your winky. I was making reference to an infamous gaffe from the movie “This is Spinal Tap” where Jeanine pronounces “Dolby®” as “doubly”.

Sorry to be so obscure with my references.... I tend to wrongly assume that everyone knows that movie backwards and forwards. (Everyone, should, IMHO:-)

(...) I was referring to the well known seppo preference to leave out the "u" on words which most commonwealth countries spell with "ou", and... (...) ...it fitted nicely with that reference as well. So I winked. Sorry for being so obscure. ROSCO (18 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)
