Firstly, theres an interesting looking assortment of
Superhero construction
sets, which the catalog makes no compatibility claims about, but which would
seem to work with the leading brand.

Ive read a little bit on these C3 construction sets. Currently quite a popular
action figure genre are Kubrick or building block style. Pretty much every toy
company is producing their own line. Art Asylum has had a lot of success with
Marvel Comics and Lord of the Rings mini-mates figures. They wanted to do DC
Comic heros but the mini figure licence was legally tied up. They have got
around this by producing construction sets.
