Firstly, there’s an interesting looking assortment of Superhero construction sets, which the catalog makes no compatibility claims about, but which would seem to ‘work with the leading brand’.

I’ve read a little bit on these C3 construction sets. Currently quite a popular action figure genre are Kubrick or building block style. Pretty much every toy company is producing their own line. Art Asylum has had a lot of success with Marvel Comics and Lord of the Rings mini-mates figures. They wanted to do DC Comic heros but the mini figure licence was legally tied up. They have got around this by producing ‘construction sets’.

There is a review of one of the sets with photo’s at http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW080404a.htm
