Definitely the second letter, the first is just a "hey look at us , we're Lego
fans, would you like to play with us?" type of letter.

If they give good feedback then we can start giving them the juicy stuff. If
they give us bad feedback, we give them even more juicy stuff about how much
sales they stand to lose by not pleasing us ;-)

The first letter will mention however how we go about getting Lego, something
like this: "we are big fans of Lego who regularly keep an eye out both locally
and internationally for latest news, events and availability of Lego
sets/pieces".

I'm not sure if i should sepcifically say that we bypass LA's sales by
importing. Maybe thats for the second or third letter, we want to get things
off on the right foot.

Santosh...Any chance of putting this sort of info in your letter, or would
that be better left to the second letter?

or to look at it this way
                           US           Aus
AAT                  $20           $60      x3
X-Wing              $30          $85       x2.9
Y-Wing+Tie       $50          $130     x2.6
Millenium Falcon $100       $260 (max)

Import cost=
$100US * 1.7 (dollar to peso) = $170+~10%=$190+post= approx $220

RRP=$359

Who is making the profit ?

Once again LA make it difficult to buy Lego and deprive • Australian youth of
the toy they should be playing with (sigh!!)

Hi Studs, LEGOzzers, and victims of the Australian Peso,

Just rang Lego Aust @ Lane Cove.

Set 7190 (Mil. Falcon) is due for release at end of July • (28th I think).

I totally forgot the exact date when the helpful lady • told me the pre GST
rrp of $359.00. If it goes up 10% thats $395.00

And stupid me has been steering my kids away from 7150 • (Y-Wing and TIE
Fighter) telling them to wait for Millenium Falcon • ('cause its about
$120.00).

Arrgggghhhhh.

Mike (insert sobs here).

P.S. I'll go with Benjamin's idea on the Minifig sets from OS
