Lego & Lucasfilm Present ‘Galactic Challenge'

According to today's press release from Legoland, the Legoland theme park in
California will host the 'Galactic Challenge', an event co-created by The Lego
Co. and Lucasfilm.
From the press release:
CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb. 3 The new millennium is bringing a year packed with new
adventures to LEGOLAND(R) California. The 128-acre family theme Park marks its
one-year anniversary in March, and continues the cele-BRICK-tion throughout
the year with new reasons to come back and explore the popular "country just
for kids."

Galactic Challenge - September 22-24
The "Search for the Most Imaginative Builder in the Galaxy" will culminate
with a global competition held at LEGOLAND. Created by the LEGO Company and
Lucasfilm Ltd., this competition is designed to inspire both children and
adults to think about what life will be like in the next millennium. It's the
first-ever contest designed by LEGO that invites people of all ages -- both
children and adults -- to enter, and encourages them to think about innovative
solutions for the future.
