I purchased today set 8737 which looked from the packaging to have 2-4 new
pieces which I thought would make excellent leg/foot pieces for my LEGO robot
creations. Upon opening the package, I became despondent. The interesting
pieces, namely the weapons, were 1 piece with 2 colors, not 2 seperate
pieces as
I have come to expect of Lego's! Additionally they are not ABS, but some
kind of
rubber?? or ABS molded onto rubber or something like that. I was looking
forward
to possibly a soft plastic blade with an axle peg that went into an axle
hole on
the spiffy looking Technic style fork.
I was sorely tempted to return it to the store, however, I don't like doing
such, so I'll just chalk it up to experience, and not bother to get any of the
rest.. For reference the part number on the pieces is 50924 3-01. The geared
arm is cool still.... oh well
This is the second letdown I have suffered in the last year with new Lego
sets..
the first being the large red RC unit (8378) my despondency there being
with the
gargantuan axles which I have yet to find a means of using with anything other
than the special tyres in the set.
