Four LEGO Auctions on eBay – All For Charity!
The LEGO Company created a year-long program to raise awareness and funds for
the Hartford-based Connecticut Children’s Medical
Center (CCMC). This program focused on a LEGO® Walk of Fame along the
Connecticut River consisting of 16 life-sized models made completely out of
LEGO bricks! Four of these models are now being auctioned off with the hopes of
raising the necessary funds needed to renovate the Primary Care Waiting Area at
CCMC. Four dogs will be auctioned off on eBay, with
all profits going to the Connecticut Children’s
Medical Center.
These four auctions will only ship to the United States and Canada. Winner is
responsible for all shipping and insurance charges. Sunday the 31st,the
CCMC held a telethon called the Children’s Miracle
Network to raise money with LEGO auctioning off a life-sized boy walking a
Newfoundland! This model raised the largest amount at $1,550! Two of the
remaining four dogs currently up on eBay have already received their opening
bids at $300 each. We hope for even higher winning bids!
The German Shepherd stands 32” tall at the ears, he measures 9.5” wide, 46”
long (nose to tail), and weighs a healthy 42.8 lbs.
The Bassett Hound stands 20.5”tall at the head, 25” tall at the tail, he
measures 11½” wide, 39” long (nose to tail), and weighs a healthy 33.2 lbs.
The Dalmatian stands 26.5” tall at the head, 29.5” tall at the tail, he
measures 9.5” wide, 39.5” long (nose to tail), and weighs a healthy 28.6 lbs.
The Bulldog stands 16.5” tall at the head, he measures 11.5” wide, 27.5”
long (nose to tail), and weighs a healthy 23.4 lbs.
