Seriously though, I kind of wonder where this is going in the long
term. If I had to guess, I'd say LEGO Direct is operating as a
"new products experiment portal thingy" for the company at large.
They can experiment in small scale and see what things work, what
doesn't, work out the bugs, etc. Presumably the successful things
will migrate over to mainstream sales. Either that or the Shop@Home
sales will become big enough to stand on their own as a major division
of the company. In any case, I doubt LEGO would ever say... :]
