(...) AFAIK, background-repeat is part of the W3C CSS1 specifications, but I could be wrong. Anyway, it seems to work in NS4.7[1] as long as stylesheets are turned on. The problem lies in the BODY tag. If CSS is turned off, the browser reads: <body (...) (23 years ago, 6-May-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) Could be - I know enough about HTML to do simple stuff, but I've never gone beyond that. I wonder if the "background-repeat" setting is a new extension, and perhaps even an IE-specific one? (...) Your snapshot (...) don't see anything like your snapshot. I only see the blue background once on the title bar. The rest of the page has a white background. (...) Hmm. I've always had Stylesheets turned on, since, as far as I know, they are not a security problem. I tried visiting the same page with them turned off and it is indeed different. The main problem that I see is the darkness of the background (...) (23 years ago, 6-May-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
