Re: One last Spring Cleaning set

My local Kmart had a pile of these on the shelf today, or at least they had a set that I believe to be these. It was a small blue bucket with 200 pieces + 200 bonus pieces on it. Seemed to be very similar to the Walgreen's set as far as the standard (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

(...) Terry, I understand where you are coming from. And your message was received with good intentions. But by bringing it up over and over again, the message gets lost. This was not the first time TLG made a major change. They did it twice before. (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

I am a lurker (and have been for some six years), sadly. Partly due to time to respond, partlt due to wanting to build, not gripe. I appreciate your words - they were made before I could get off my rear and post my own. I have only been a follower (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

(...) I think you don't get it. It's about the attitude of LEGO towards its clients, me, you, every AFOL and children. The Color change is more than just a color issue, but even if it was, it's still too big to get over it easily. (...) Then go buy (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Jake!(Or somebody) Shope@home questions

Hi there Do you know if there are any plans to expand shop@home to more countries? And if its planned to open up for shipping to norway? regards (22 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

(...) Steve, I agree with you on the Technic argument. I personally haven't liked Town since the 1970's, but others don't see it that way. Around 1980 I started to build MOCs. Granted a lot of AFOL's prefer to build mostly what the company comes out (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) That's fine, but the bricks I used were all from the period 1970-1980, as they were put away when I began my 20 year dark age in 1981, and I have since always kept them separate from my new bricks. I actually picked out the bricks that looked (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)

Re: One last Spring Cleaning set

(...) Jake, Would that be a small blue bucket which states it contains 200 pieces + 200 bonus pieces? JB (22 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) [Snip - quality issues] (...) I can imagine, that a wild mix of used bricks from 196x till nineties have different clutch forces and similar tolerance spread as the plates now. But if you took only bricks of one colour and type out of one type (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Hi Ben, while those stacks look bad, I don't see any stacks of older plates beside them to compare. I stacked my older bricks and found much variation, I would be interested to see your findings. A lot of people say LEGO tolerances have become (...)   Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

Thank you for addressing this. I was similarly irritated while reading some of the responses to the universal color list. And was motivated to write a rude response to some of the negative comments, but I knew that would not solve anything. I feel (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

Hello there First off, AMEN! And offcourse, thank you for taking this up. I think that the problems are the people whining about lego are the general direction they've taken the last couple of years, and see where it goes. Off course TLC will have (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Hi Rosco, I am not asked, but I did and felt upset about these nearly as much as if they were blayish. Because these are rubbish of lowest quality.   Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Saying that "no other elements availible in light gray anymore" is stretching the situation a bit. There are reasonably large quantites of both 'classic' grays available on BrickLink.
