Well,

It finally happened...I bought a set with a missing piece.  First off, I am
amazed at LEGO's QA.  LEGO has got to be the easiest thing in the world to
mess up on packaging nut I have never found a set with a missing piece...until
Saturday.

I bought 7159 (Pod Racing Bucket) and it is missing a 1x2 dark grey plate,
which I noticed once I got to page 29 of the instruction booklet (building the
engines of the 4th racer).

Who do I call to rectify this? LEGO Canada? LEGO Direct? What is the number to
phone and what is the procedure? (i.e. how do I make sure they know what piece
I'm talking about?)

I am in Canada (near Toronto)

I haven't had a problem with Lego pieces since one of the new 9v motors in my
Mindstorms set went clunk a year and a half ago.  I called Lego Canada customer
service, and they referred me to a 1-800 number in the States.  I answered the
operator's questions, and the part appeared a short while later.

I'd still try Lego Canada first, and they'll tell you who to call.  Or call S@H
and navigate the telephone system.  They're very serious about QA...

Jeff
