I suspect the lightish blue is the result of TLG mixing more "flexibility"
into the droid arms.  I've noticed this often with the 1x2 brick with half a
friction peg piece, especially in blue.  I think they want the plastic to be
a bit softer so the formulae is a bit different.

blue droid arms in it are a new sort of blue.  It is just a shy bit • lighter.

Also, the black ambulence driver is a different color than either old • brown or
reddish new brown.

Not to be alarmist, but I found it interesting.
