THANKS René! Glad you did it!
After being exposed to these pictures the second I enter Bricklug chat
this morning (THANKS JEFF) I can definitely say I like them.
While some have already harped on the Juniorization of the sets and the
crappy design, I think they are GREAT! Though they are in no way
comparable with the traditional lego Castle sets we know and love, I
think of them more like a melding of the Movie Maker ideas (What with
the backdrops and proliferation of accessories) and regular castle sets.
Being a vociferous fan of the books, I can definitely say the
playability of these sets is HUGE! They've included so many details from
the books, in such small set sizes, that I am truly amazed. They've made
the world of Harry Potter accessible AND affordable.
If nothing else, they will be an EXCELLENT source for accessories and
GREAT pieces to be used throughout. The owls and rats and new wizard
hats, a non brown broom and lots of other great stuff is included here
making the Harry Potter sets highly sought after for MY collection. Can
I just tell you how much I LOVE that curved staircase? And the wide use
of newer colors has me ecstatic!
I say A+++++ Lego! I'm looking forward to owning each of these sets, and
most of them in multiple copies!
