(...) I have heard from a number of donors, but not all. All so far are in favor. I have spoken to Consumer Affairs about this and I need to call the Enfield PR dept tomorrow. Anyone have shipping connections to get the stuff there cheaper? (25 years ago, 1-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

A friend in the Netherlands has told me that the city of Amsterdam is covering shipping of all donations (sent from the Netherlands to Turkey). I am sure others in Europe have the same situation (at least I hope so) and perhaps we can convince a (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

We need to pursue other avenues. I have called TLG PR and they must get a lot of requests because I wasn't able to get through to a human. Their standard policy per their tape recorded message is that they donate to children's charities only, and (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

A thought: I hear that if one buys a case of a set, TLG will honor a 20% discount. All we'd really need would be to convince them to ship to a foreign soil address. Would *that* be so tough for them? And if worse comes to worse, we double ship their (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)
