Actually, according to the article posted to me, both are okay *links*.
Inline images are not okay, because inline images are pulled in automatically by most
browsers, causing more hits on the image, making the assumption that not
100% of the people reading the page want to view the image.
It's pedantic, but I thought it was worth clarifying.

I should clarify what I meant. :-) In the example labeled "good link" -- offsite links to URLs of that type are encouraged, and will work fine. Under the example labeled "bad (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.general)
