What you get in an 810 Town Plan Set.

Hi All,
Below is a description and inventory of the 810 Complete Town Plan Set
I recently bought:
When released in 1965 its RRP was 8 pounds 11 Shillings 4 Pence which
I’m
told was about a weeks wages.
Outer slip off cover : 520x425x70 mm heavy guage cardboard approx 5 mm
thick with picture of girl and boy standing behind
completed
town, sides of box state "Lego System 810".
Inner box : Contents covered by town plan board. Board is folded in
two with
canvas hinge all four corners of openned out board have
brass
protection. The board when openned flat is 800x500x5 mm.
One side has the town plan itself (streets and building
areas),
the other side has the same picture as the outer cover
on half
the board and the other half shows pictures of all (or
most?)
of the different types of piece in the kit plus a number
of ideas for buildings and other models.
The inner box has eight compartments and appears to be
made
of plywood covered with white glossy paper. Within each
compartment there is a lighter cardboard insert, some
are black
with cut out areas to hold the more unusual pieces, I
think
some of these inserts are missing. There are three all
black
with cutouts and three that divide the compartments they
are
in into 1/3, 2/3 smaller compartments.

1 Red Fire Engine with turntable and grey ladder
1 Red tow truck
5 Small road signs (I think there are another 10
missing)
1 Self openning red garage door set with white
base
1 grey 10x20 base brick
16 white 1/4 circle bricks
111 white 2x1 bricks
2 white 2x1 bricks with notch at bottom
1 1x6 white brick with "CAFE" on one side
1 1x8 white brick with "ESSO SERVICE" on one side

Total 756 Pieces.
All of the cars/trucks are plastic with metal wheels and axles.
All the bricks have "Pat. Pend" on them.
There appears to be one bicycle with rider missing
Also a trailer for the blue truck plus another complete truck and
trailer are missing
A red and yellow VW van is missing.
A set of flags on poles is missing.
Some white 1x1 bricks with letters on them are missing
I have a feeling that the blue roof pieces are not from this set.
All the white plate pieces have yellowed but all the bricks look brand
new.
