I want to thank everyone who participated! This event was a big splash.
Just wanted to share some
images & videos
of the LEGO Boat Race that was held at Brickworld 2010. I think everyone had
fun, despite some confusion. There were 11 contestants, with boats running with
RC, IR, Bluetooth, & old fashion LEGO motors.
Just wanted to mention a few names:
The Boat Race Winner -- Samuel Forker who swept both the simple & advance
races
The Most Creative -- Mike Tighe for a very creative use of a LEGO
store display (I honestly didn’t think it would float!)
The Sinker Award --
Mike Cotterman for the best dramatic boat sinking
Next year I hope to be a little better organized & I hope everyone will
participate again. I’ll try to get a on-line sign up sheet so the races will go
faster & post the race course on-line (ahead of time) so everyone understands
what to expect. And to build better stationary bouys. :)
