There's currently a large art competition going on in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
One of the 1262 entries in the competition is by Stefano Bolcato of Italy. His
work is an eight-panel series of minifig portraits, called "Avatar".
Looking at his website - http://www.stefanobolcato.com/ - he's done other
lego-based work, as well as non-lego-based work.
